Jasmine

In Progress Molly Mule, Traditional Scale

Several months have passed since the last update! One especially useful "trick of the trade" is to set a sculpture aside for a long while so that you can come back and evaluate it with a fresh eye. After the previous session, Jasmine was left as a clay "sketch" with many proportion issues to fix. The following photos are the result of a further two weeks' worth of ripping apart, piecing back together, tweaking more, etc. It is quite a back and forth process! Jasmine is now roughed in pretty close to her final form. This is the ideal time to seek critiques as the sculpture is solidly representing the desired outcome, but before any of the time consuming detailing has gone in.
